At the heart of the Dronne Valley twenty minutes from Bourdeilles where two twin castles (one medieval fortress, the other Renaissance) stand proudly above the cliffs overlooking the river.

Brantôme reserves you the picturesque of its old streets and its Benedictine and partly troglodyte abbey, of its old borough encircled by the two arms of Dronne from where its name of Green Venice of Périgord.
