Salignac Eyvigues

Chief town of the canton, in the Eastern borders of the Dordogne department, near Sarladais, Terrassonnais, Brive and Souillac, appears like the door of the Périgord Noir for the visitors.

Salignac Eyvigues is at the crossroads of three regions: Aquitaine, Limousin and Midi-Pyrenees.

Come explore our small country roads, they will lead you to an exceptional destination.

The ramparts of the castle no longer defend the village clinging to its rocky outcrop, but this proud building of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, bears witness to its past. The old streets, in the warm colors of the country stone, contain the secrets of the ancient convent of the crusaders, lead to the hall, to the Gothic church whose path of the cross is admired.

The paths of great hikes (GR) pass by Salignac, there are also pedestrian paths around the town.

The farmers’ market is one of the first in Périgord to have been relaunched a few years ago. It benefits from the label “Marché des producteurs de Pays”, supplied only by farmers and artisan producers of the products presented.
It takes place every Tuesday morning from 9h to 12h until the end of September.
